Do you remember last month when we reported that Microsoft was ceasing Xbox Live service for original Xbox games, including Halo 2? Well, as painful as it is to see it going away on April 15th, the company is easing the pain to specific online players of Bungie's hit sequel.
Emails have begun going out today to longtime Xbox Live subscribers that frequently play the game, offering 400 Microsoft points, three months of additional Xbox Live service, and a code that can be redeemed for the upcoming Halo: Reach beta. Granted, that's not quite the same as being able to take on friends in Halo 2, but it certainly beats nothing, right?
Don't forget, Bungie is still throwing a farewell bash for the game on April 14th. We'll see you there.
