We already know about the news that Xbox Live support for original Xbox games is going the way of the dodo on April 15th. However, for a day or so, several users were scared out of their wits when they couldn't download content for the games.
Word got out that Microsoft had already begun shutting down services for the games, as players couldn't download maps for Halo 2, along with other content. However, that was far from the case. Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb confirmed that there was a problem, but it was temporary at best. The services are now back in full, so you can download away. For the next couple of months, anyway.
So, yeah, false alarm. Breathe easy and go back to your Halo sessions.
