We'd like to get inside this chick's Underdome, if you know what we mean.
Although the holidays ended, 2K Games and Gearbox Software still have some gifts left over. Both companies released the second batch of downloadable content for the critically acclaimed first person shooter, Borderlands. Dubbed Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, the new content will set you back 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99).
Underdome Riot includes a new Riot Mode that lets players compete against hordes of monsters, in tournaments where the rules constantly change. On top of that, gamers can earn two more skill points, while a new bank feature offers additional storage.
“Our fans loved Borderlands because it was addictive gameplay at its best with over the top action that satisfied their appetites for destruction,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot expands upon the original Borderlands universe by taking the co-operative mayhem that gamers loved about the original game and amplifying it.”
While that’s good news, PlayStation Network fans will need to wait until January 7th to purchase Underdome Riot, for some undisclosed reason. Between this and the recently announced Dragon Age: Origins: Return to Ostagar content (which releases on PSN after the Xbox Live version), it appears that PlayStation owners will get off to a rocky 2010 start.
