When Capcom announced that it was bringing its hit action multiplayer game Monster Hunter Tri on the Nintendo Wii to the U.S., many people were concerned that the company would be charging fees to allow them to play online with their friends. Well, good news has come out of today's Nintendo summit. The company not only confirmed the game's release date (April 20th, with a Classic Controller Pro packed in), but also confirmed that there would in fact not be a charge for online play. It's free, as part of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service. And up to four players can hook up at once.
There's more. If you pre-order the game at GameStop, you'll not only score a free demo (on March 8th) with two playable quests, but also a limited edition print and a 500-point card, good for purchases on the Wii Shop Channel. Score!
