This was almost a good Sonic game, but then Sega messed things up with this werehog nonsense.
Microsoft’s Games On Demand service for Xbox Live got a boost this week with the addition of three more titles to download. Army of Two, Sonic Unleashed and Midnight Club: Los Angeles are now available to install right on your hard drive.
In Electronic Arts’ Army of Two, you direct a pair of gun-toting soldiers as they complete near-impossible missions, working in tandem to uncover a conspiracy that could bring down the United States. The game sells for $19.99 and takes up 5 GB worth of space. We recommend checking it out. It’s exciting and will give you an idea what’s to come in the upcoming sequel, The 40th Day.
Next up is Rockstar Games’ Midnight Club: Los Angeles, a fast-paced street racer where you’ll challenge all kinds of opponents throughout the city of Angels. Numerous cars will be available throughout the course of the game, which you can use to take on both computer opponents and online racers. This one sells for $29.99, but we suggest holding off and getting the Complete Version that’s available in stores. You get more content and save 6 GB worth of space on your hard drive.
Finally, Sonic returns to Games On Demand with last year’s Sonic Unleashed. In the game, he once again butts heads with Eggman, who’s torn the world apart with his latest plan. However, Sonic has his own problems, as he’s battling an uncontrollable urge to transform into a Were-hog. The game costs $29.99 and takes up 6 GB worth of space. It’s decent, but not nearly as good as the Sonic games available through Xbox Live. Plus, they’re cheaper at only 400 points (five bucks) a pop.
