Not so hot now, Mr. Drake, are you?
Sony knows a lot of gamers will be off this week, and they’ll probably spend most of their time playing Modern Warfa…we mean, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. To make that sound even more appealing, the publisher will release a huge update Friday, November 27th at 10:00AM PT. Even better, it’s free.
Here’s what you get:
The Fort: A multiplayer map inspired by the Fortress from the original Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.
From Sony: “The Fort is a long rectangular map with wide open spaces and excellent flank routes. Can’t take the enemy head on? Take the tunnels into the basement to get behind the opposing team. There is a shotgun in the center of the map, but look out for people climbing up from below to pull you to your doom. Pay attention to the side room in the crypt, there is an RPG that is ripe for the taking.”
In addition, you can expect these lovely additions:
“Added Global and Friends list Leaderboards to the Multiplayer menu with the following categories:”

Global Co-op
Global Kills
Global Money
Friends Competitive Wins
Friends Co-op
Friends Kills
Friends Money
“Added a player card to the Multiplayer menu.”
“In the main Multiplayer menu, we have replaced the dynamic ‘ad’ banner with a player card that lets you view your level, number of competitive wins, kills, money and co-op score at a glance.”
Finally, you’ll be able to earn Double Cash from kills, match victories and awarded medals. Teams will also have special skills, with Doughnut Drake and Doughnut Lazarevic being the heroes and villains, respectively. This runs from 10:00 AM PT Friday through 11:00 AM PT Monday, November 30th.
Some of us have yet to crack open Uncharted 2 (a crime, we know), so this sounds like the best time.
