Wii Shop Channel Update: January 4th

Final Fight 3 on Virtual Console

The Final Fight Virtual Console collection is complete!

Three new WiiWare games and one Virtual Console game await you in today’s Wii Shop Channel update, and while there’s nothing stellar this week (unlike last week when Castlevania the Adventure ReBirth dropped), there’s still some interesting stuff to check out.

Leading the pack for WiiWare is Triangle Studios’ puzzle game, Heron: Steam Machine, where you strategically connect pipes to keep a machine running.  You’ll need to carefully rework steam to keep it from overloading and blasting rubber duckies all over the place. The game sells for 500 Wii points.

If it’s dart action you’re after, Big Blue Bubble’s Pub Darts may be the ticket.  The game features several dart games, including 501, Cricket, Around the Clock, Killers and Baseball.  The game features motion-sensitive controls (like throwing real darts) and multiplayer support for up to four people.  The game costs 500 Wii points.

If it’s crappy full-motion video you want to see on your Wii, pull the trigger on Digital Leisure’s Fast Draw Showdown.  In this game, you’ll face off against badly dressed actors, outgunning them before they can shoot you.  Think Mad Dog McCree, but with less lame acting.  The game is only 500 Wii points.

Last but not least, if you’re a fan of Final Fight, you can add the third chapter to your collection.  Final Fight 3 features awesome two player fighting action with Mike Haggar and Guy, along with two new fighters, Lucia and Dean.  (Yeah, don’t mess with Dean!)  It costs 800 Wii points.

So, again, nothing impressive, but at least there’s diversity.
