Xbox Live Deals, Game Releases Revealed For the Next Two Weeks

Get Serious, starting tomorrow.

Major Nelson, aka Larry Hyrb, posted some upcoming deals and game releases for Xbox Live over at his blog page, detailing what releases we can expect over the next couple of weeks.

First, let’s talk Xbox Live deals.  Starting January 18th, you can pick up the two Mass Effect expansions, Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station, for 240 Microsoft points (three dollars) each.  Hasbro Family Game Night’s Battleship game will also be on sale for 400 Microsoft points (five bucks).  The following week, January 25th, you can pick up Portal: Still Alive for five bucks off, at 800 Microsoft points.  (The cake?  It's a lie.)

Xbox Live Games On Demand will get some zombie-killing action on January 26th with Capcom’s Dead Rising, set to sell for $19.99.  No word on what game is due for arrival on the 19th, however.

Xbox Live Arcade is getting busy with Serious Sam HD this week, and next week brings Square Enix’s Death By Cube and Konami’s Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment.  Serious and Flames will go for 1,200 Microsoft points ($15) each, while Death goes for 800 ($10).

Finally, the Xbox Live Avatar Marketplace will get Burton gear and Darksiders outfits on January 14th, with international attire, university-style outfits and MX Vs. ATV get-ups on the 21st.

Prices are also lowering on the Games On Demand versions of Bioshock, Saint’s Row, MX Vs. ATV Untamed and Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution.  The games should go down to $19.99 apiece, although there’s no word on when this will happen.  (Hopefully soon.)

Finally, if you’re an Xbox Live Silver subscriber and want to see what the Last.fm music service is all about, you’ll be able to check it out this weekend for free, starting Friday January 15th and running through Monday the 18th.  Pick your favorites and get to listening!

Well at least we can avoid getting our hopes up for Perfect Dark.

Bioshock 2 is gonna be full of bad-assery.

True...BioShock 2 should be good. Had my doubts, but having played a few hours of it, I am pretty impressed.

Must have it. And Dead Rising, for that matter. Finally, it'll run on my system. :D
